Purpose of Logo Use
The logo can only be used to demonstrate a real and current relationship with ULN. Any use of the logo must reflect a legitimate and ongoing connection to ULN, its activities, or its community. By using ULN's logo, you agree to abide by these guidelines and ensure the logo is used appropriately and responsibly.
Authorized Use of the Logo
The logo may only be used by authorized entities, which include:
- ULN Members: Only official members of ULN are permitted to use the logo. Members may use the logo on stationery, such as corporate documents, business cards, and websites, to signify their membership with ULN. When displaying the ULN logo, it must be used in a way that clearly indicates it is for membership affiliation and does not imply any endorsement or sponsorship by ULN.
- The Press: Accredited members of the press may use the logo in publications and news stories solely for the purpose of reporting on ULN, its activities, or events. The logo must be used in its approved format and cannot be modified, distorted, or altered in any way.
- Promotional Activities: Members are allowed to use the logo for promotional purposes, provided it is used to demonstrate a legitimate connection with ULN. Any promotional use must be approved in writing by ULN and should not imply any endorsement or sponsorship by ULN unless specifically authorized.
Prohibited Use of the Logo
The following uses of the logo are strictly prohibited:
- Non-Members: Individuals or organizations that are not official members of ULN do not have the right to use the logo under any circumstances.
- Unauthorized Endorsements: The logo must not be used in any manner that suggests ULN endorses or promotes any product, service, event, or initiative without explicit written authorization from ULN.
- Modification and Distortion: The logo must not be altered in any way. This includes changing colors, scaling, skewing, rotating, or applying any effects such as shadows or outlines. The logo must always appear in its original, approved form.
- Confusing Use: The logo must not be used in any way that could be confusing or misleading, such as implying a false relationship or affiliation with ULN.
- Inappropriate Contexts: The logo must not be used in any context that could damage the reputation of ULN, such as in association with pornography, illegal activities, defamatory or offensive content, or in violation of any law or public policy.
Guidelines for Proper Logo Usage
To ensure the logo is used consistently and appropriately, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- The logo must be displayed on a solid background with sufficient contrast to ensure visibility.
- The logo should not be reduced to a size smaller than 1.65 centimeters in width for print or 72 pixels in width for digital use.
- No additional text, graphics, or elements should be placed closer to the logo than the height of the letter "u" in the logo.
Enforcement, Audit, and Compliance
ULN reserves the right to review and audit the use of the logo by members and partners to ensure compliance with this policy. Any use of the logo that does not comply with these guidelines may result in the termination of your rights to use the logo and could lead to legal action.
ULN may publicly disclose instances of unauthorized logo use to inform third parties of non-compliance.
