How We Work

At FDRS, our approach to debt recovery is straightforward and client-friendly. We operate on a "No Collection, No Fee" basis, meaning you only pay if we successfully collect the debt. Our standard collection fee is 20% of the amount recovered. For claims valued under USD 1,000, we charge a fixed collection fee of USD 200.

To initiate a debt recovery case with FDRS, clients need to provide copies of original invoices, a current statement of account (SOA), and any other relevant documents such as bills of lading (BL) or air waybills (AWB). All claims must be accompanied by two completed FDRS collection forms.

Amicable Debt Collection Process

Our primary method of debt recovery is through amicable debt collection, where we strive to settle matters without resorting to legal action. The process begins with a debt assignment notification sent to the debtor, requesting payment by a specified due date. If the debt remains unpaid, we issue a reminder notification and place the debtor on our Delinquent Debtors warning list, which is updated daily on our website. If, after a further five-day period, the debt is still not settled, we issue a final reminder and may recommend legal action.

Pre-Court Local Legal Representation

If the amicable collection process fails, we advise our clients to consider pre-court action through local legal representation in the debtor's country. This step involves initiating legal proceedings without going to court, with fees ranging from 30% to 40% of the collected amount, depending on the country. These fees are also on a "No Collection, No Fee" basis, and we only proceed with explicit written approval from our clients.

Court Action

In cases where debts are substantial and there is a reasonable chance of a favorable outcome, we may recommend court action. All costs and fees associated with court action are quoted upfront and are the responsibility of the client. FDRS does not cover these fees on behalf of the client, and we will only proceed with the client's express written consent.
